• "Our only regrets about staying here are that 1) we had to leave and 2) we didn't have the chance to meet Valentina, as she was away on holiday. She was in regular touch, though, making sure we were happy and had everything we needed. The area is fab: local, residential with a school nearby, but not far from the city centre - an easy 15 minute walk or $2 tuk tuk ride. There are local cafes and a vegetarian restaurant close by if you don't fancy going into town. Or you can have fun buying ingredients in the market to cook your own meals in the little outdoor kitchen, which we really enjoyed. We loved sitting on the terrace, enjoying the birds and frogs in the secluded, leafy garden, reading and playing with the gorgeous, funny cats. The room was lovely: colourfully and tastefully decorated, with a wonderfully comfortable bed and a light, modern and spacious bathroom with a good shower. The whole place is kept very clean by the lovely Kunthea, who always greeted us with a smile. Valentina's house is so much more than just a place to spend a couple of nights while you visit the temples. Stay here!"- Anna and Paul from England, July 2017
  • "We really enjoyed staying in Valentina's house. It is beautifully decorated and very clean. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to meet Valentina in person but her communication over emails was great. She introduced us to Ros who is her tuk tuk driver and he was extremely helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone." • "Villa Medasia is a beautiful oasis just a short tuk-tuk drive down the road from the craziness of Pub Street. Though we didn't get to meet Valentina because she was out of the country, she was one of the best air bnb owners I have ever dealt with- always replying within a few minutes! She made us feel welcome and safe, and answered any questions we had both before and during our stay. her friend came to check us in and show us around, and she organised our airport pickup and drop-off with Ros, the tuk-tuk driver with the biggest smile in Cambodia! He also took us into town and dropped us, and picked us up again after dinner, and then took us out into the countryside the next day. I really recommend him. We loved the ambiance of the place and the way the rooms were decorated- it was so nice to just sit on the sofa on the verandah and relax. Next time I would love to try some of Valentina's cooking! Thank you so much Valentina- and Thierry! We will be back!" Amanda, from Japan traveling in Jan 2017

  • "Valentina's place is unique and I am very happy we choose if for our month long stay. Things that were exceptional: Khmer & Mediterranean fusion architecture, indoor-outdoor living spaces, garden and abundant nature, outdoor verandah, hammocks, beautiful interior decorating, the quality and details of everything, a locking gate (kept bikes safe), and the housekeeper. Upscale, yet rustic. The lush and relaxing environment made it hard to want to leave! Valentina thought of all the little things that make her B&B special that are lacking in too many SE Asian rentals like drinking water, top sheets, assorted books (including Cambodian history and Angkor Wat/local area guidebooks) and service. Valentina is a valuable resource about anything in Siem Reap. She will schedule trusted tours and drivers. Bun's jeep tour was outstanding. Also, her favorite tuk tuk driver Ros charged normal rates, but was reliable, punctual and very, very nice. I strongly recommend using him. Steve was full of insights that only a long time expat would have. If you can get him talking, he is full of interesting stories that illuminate life in Cambodia. The character, quality and outdoor nature of this place are outstanding. Valentina and the crew she has assembled are top-notch. I highly recommend this place. I enjoyed my time there tremendously." - Nikky and Dennis from Texas, traveling in Dec 2016
  • "I generally do lot of searching and brainstorming before booking any place to stay, even though I had a very bad experience in Kota Kinabalu, my first click was on this listing and I didn't look for any other option, this time my luck favored me as if it is paying me back for that experience in KK. There is not even one thing that I can dislike, actually her place is what I dream for and in many ways me and my wife are working towards it, she was very responsive before I booked, after I booked and during my stay, alas, I could not sit down and had little bit of sharing our stories, she is an Architect and her house screams of it. Facilities that come with the room are extremely well thought out. So well thought off first time in all of my travels I didn't even miss my precious morning chai. There was a small kitchen which I could use any time I want. I appreciate people who are thorough. I will remember her as one of the best I met.  Guys she asked to take us places on tuk tuk and Jeep are awesome, I specially liked Bun, the Jeep driver, I have not seen not too many South East Asian guy including in Singapore who can converse in English so correctly. Lastly, if I ever go back to Siam Reap which I intend to because even after visiting Angkor Wat four times in three days I could not have enough, I will definitely like to stay here again!"- Kartikey from Singapore, traveling in Nov 2016
  • Amazing place with good tease also ppl come clean everyday your room . more importantly Hosted by the sweetest Valentina.the Italian food she made is wonderful :) it will be my staying again when I come back to Siam reap next time !grasicas Valentina for these great days and thx for everything and thx for the wine too ;) 处处带给你惊喜的staying 。 I will be back soon !!- Sophie from China, traveling in Oct 2016
  • "My Cambodian holiday would not have been as magical if it weren't for Valentina and her beautiful home. Villa Medesia is a form of paradise on its own! Valentina warmly welcomed me into her home and made sure that I was comfortable. The room was everything that I had imagined it to be - the photos are very accurate! The room was spacious and provided a very relaxed environment. The location of the villa was also perfect. It has restaurants and shops nearby, and is only a five-minute tuktuk ride to Pub Street (and yes, there was no shortage of tuktuks around either!). And as I was on a writing trip, the location was very important. I needed to be in a place that was serene (check!) and was away from the town proper, but was close enough if I wanted to go and explore. It was perfect! Valentina as a host was simply amazing! She gave me a lot of recommendations and tips and tricks around Siem Reap. She also has contacts (and colleagues) who can help with tours. She was also very helpful with anything I needed, or any of the questions I had. The best part? Valentina is an excellent cook! I had a lot of my dinners at the Villa because I fell in love with her cooking. She has a great Italian menu (with wine and dessert!), and you can't help but ask for seconds. Her beautiful home lends a great atmosphere for a romantic dinner on the veranda or the garden. A huge bonus too is live jazz music in the house ;) Overall, my experience with Valentina has been absolutely amazing! One time, Valentina and I were conversing via chat while I was in town, and she just said: "Don't worry, you're at home!" And it was true. I really did feel I was at home in Villa Medesia and it was the perfect "home" to go back to after temple runs and other adventures." - Beatriz Lim from Manila, traveling Sept 2016
